About the accommodation

The campsite has 48 pitches with electricity, 24 motorhome pitches with electricity and fresh water at the post, and 25 tent pitches. For those who prefer more comfortable accommodation, there are 12 camping cabins, all with four beds, dining table, sofas and a small kitchenette equipped with hobs, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and kettle. Duvets and pillows are included, but sheets are provided or rented on site. Each cottage has its own patio with seating, while showers, toilets and a kitchen are located in the neighbouring service building.

Facilities and activities

The campsite has a reception with a mini-market and coffee shop, a children's playground, bicycle hire, mini-golf, boules pitch and horseshoe pits. The service buildings offer showers, toilets, a self-catering kitchen and barbecue areas. For motorhomes and caravans there is a Camper-Clean station for automatic emptying of cassette toilets and grey water - included in the camping fee, or for a fee for external guests.
Near the campsite there are natural sandy beaches and nice hiking trails of varying length and difficulty. The beach café in cabin 24 serves coffee, ice cream, waffles, light lunches and pizza.

Discover the archipelago

In the summer, you can take the Waxholm boat from the Kapellskär pier and make a pleasant trip to the islands of Lidö, Fejan and Arholma.

By car: Take the E18 from Norrtälje to Kapellskär harbour. After the entrance to terminal B, turn right and follow the signs to the campsite.

By bus: Bus 631 and 631X run from Norrtälje. The nearest bus stop to the campsite is Kapellskär harbour, while Aspnäs vägskäl is closest to the hostel. To Norrtälje, take bus 676 from Stockholm or 677 from Uppsala. See www.sl.se for timetables.
