Charming hostel at Riddersholm Nature Reserve. Kapellskär is best known as the gateway to the east, where the ferries go to Åland. Here, at the meeting point of sea and land, you'll also find Riddersholm Nature Reserve - an area filled with pastures, hay meadows and a unique floral splendour that stretches from May to August.

About the accommodation

Kapellskär's STF Hostel is adjacent to the nature reserve and offers cosy and practical accommodation all year round. There are rooms with two, four or six beds. During the summer, the hostel is a perfect base for those who want to explore the archipelago, hike in nature or swim in protected bays. In winter, you can enjoy ice skating on frozen bays and cross-country skiing in the beautiful surroundings.

By boat: In summer, the boat Sjöbris leaves from Strömkajen in Stockholm. For more information, call 08-679 58 30.
By bus: Take bus 625/676 from Stockholm or bus 631 from Norrtälje.
By car: Follow the E18 towards Norrtälje and Kapellskär, the hostel is located about 20 km east of Norrtälje.
