Vällenbadet is located on Lake Vällen with grassy areas, a small sandy beach and a nature trail for children. There are jetties, a covered picnic area and changing cabins.
The swimming pool is child-friendly and to some extent accessible to people with reduced mobility with an accessible dry toilet. There is also a ramp into the water, but with a width of less than 130cm.
Vällenbadet is managed by Upplands Ekeby Bygdegårdsförening in co-operation with Östhammar municipality.
In Vällen you can fish for perch, pike, whitefish and zander. Don't forget that a fishing licence is required.
You can get to Vällen from several directions, on country roads from Alunda or Gimo and then gravel road about 5 km. There is a large car park here. It is not possible to get here by public transport.
