Where to swim in Roslagen

Åkeröbadet

The bathing area is located between Bålö and Åkerö in Åkeröfjärden and has about 24 metres of shoreline with a sandy beach and flat lawn facing west. You can reach a small island via jetties.

Alundabadet

Alundabadet has three swimming pools, two water slides, playground equipment, a stage and large grass areas that are open in summer (June-August).

Älvsnäs friluftsbad

Älvsnäs outdoor swimming pool is located on Söderön. A popular bath with a sandy beach, grass areas and barbecue area. The bath is located in the southern part of Söderön by Raggaröfjärden. The bath is child-friendly and accessible for the disabled. There are changing cabins and jetties, toilet (RWC).

Arkadien

The Arkadien bathing area is an inland bathing area on the northern shore of Långsjön, south of Rimbo. Here you will find a sandy beach about 75 metres long with rocky outcrops and grassy sunbathing areas with occasional trees that are suitable for play and relaxation. Near the bathing area there is a sports ground where you can exercise.

Aspbo 1 & 3

Aspbobadet, two bathing areas outside Österbybruk in a nature reserve with large grass areas and nicely located barbecue areas. Aspbo 1 is an open-air bath and Aspbo 3 is an open-air bathing and camping area with grassy areas and a shallow sandy bottom. The eastern bath is larger and has a sandy beach. The well-travelled Upplandsleden trail runs between the baths.

Backbyn

The bathing area is a sea bath at Backbyn on the eastern side of Singö Island. Here you will find 20 metres of shoreline and a sandy beach with grassy areas in a sheltered bay facing south. There is a fishing village east of the bathing area. Singö is about 8 by 5 kilometres in area and there are several places around the island where you can go swimming.

Badholmen

At the bath there are nice rocks to sunbathe on, small sandy beaches and a bathing jetty. Badholmen is about two kilometres from Åkersberga town centre. The bath is located on a small peninsula in Sätterfjärden. It is a sea bath, but the water temperature is often higher here than in the more unprotected sea bath at Österskär.

Bergbybadet, Gräddö

Located at Väddöviken, this bathing area offers a shallow sandy beach and a sandy beach with about 125 metres of shoreline and large grassy areas, making it ideal for families with children.

Berkingebadet

Berkingebadet is located by a restored mill pond and offers both swimming and large grassy areas for relaxation. The area has a historic mill environment and plenty of space for both play and rest.

Björkö-Örn - Gräddö

The bathing area is located on the southern shore of Norrtälje Bay, west of Gräddö. There is a sandy beach with about 85 metres of shoreline facing north. There are also smaller areas of flat lawn.

Breviksbadet

Breviksbadet is Österåker's largest sea bath. During the high season, the bath is very busy, but there is room for many visitors on the generous grass areas, rocks and sandy beach.

Lake Drängsjön - Domarudden

The bath is located by the beautiful Drängsjön lake, which is in the Domarudden nature reserve. Domarudden is partly a nature reserve. There is an inviting and child-friendly sandy beach, but also rocks and grass to lie on. The bathing area gives the feeling of a small forest lake, despite its relative proximity to Åkersberga town centre.

The fishers' croft

Fiskartorpet is a popular seaside bathing area in Sätterfjärden on Margretelundsvägen (near the junction with Badbergsvägen) with both rocks and a sandy beach. A bathing jetty encloses shallow water, which means that the bath is also suitable for smaller children. During the bathing season there is a portable outdoor toilet that is accessible.

Garnsviksbadet

Garnsviken has an inviting little bathing area, Garnsviksbadet, which consists of a child-friendly sandy beach with a jetty. There are both grassy areas and rocks to sunbathe on.

Gillfjärden

The bathing area at Gillfjärden is a lake bath just outside Norrtälje town. There is a sandy beach with about 22 metres of shoreline facing south and a lawn that is suitable for both play and relaxation.

Gimo swimming pool

Swimming pool with two pools adjacent to the gym and sports hall. Free car parking adjacent to the facility. A kiosk with snacks, drinks and coffee is available inside the centre.

Gimobadet

Gimobadet at Gimodammen is a child-friendly pool with large grass areas, jetties and a floating dock, barbecue areas and a ramp for those with reduced mobility. There are toilets, changing rooms, outdoor showers, barbecue areas, a kiosk and a boules court. A chainsaw-sculpted mermaid greets you at the entrance. A barbecue hut is available for hire via the RSMH Vallonerna association.

Gisen

The bathing area is located just south of Edsbro, on the northern shore of Lake Gisen. There is about 40 metres of shoreline and a flat grassy area suitable for both play and relaxation. There is plenty of deciduous forest around the bathing area.
