The gallery space showcases Lacke's diverse artistic practice, which includes paintings, sculptures and prints. During opening hours, he often works in the studio, giving you a unique opportunity to see the art take shape and gain an insight into the creative process.
Tomas Lacke, born in 1976, is a self-taught artist active since the 1990s. His art is characterised by an experimental and spontaneous working method, often combining abstract and figurative elements. Lacke is particularly known for his silhouette sculptures in steel, which integrate with their surroundings and change with the seasons. An example of this is the sculpture ”När vi blundar” (When we close our eyes), a public work in Sollentuna municipality at Edsviken.
Guided tours are offered to art organisations, groups or companies. For more information and opening hours see the artist's website.
Near the gallery there are also other businesses such as a potter, ice cream sales and the appreciated Åkersberga Plant Sales with associated restaurant and café, which makes a visit a holistic experience for all the senses.
A warm welcome to experience art in an inspiring environment at Galleri Lacke.
