Model Railway House & Frida Lovisa's Garden

Just outside Uppsala, you'll find Modelljärnvägens Hus - a fascinating destination where trains, technology and imagination meet. Here you can experience magnificent model railway exhibitions with detailed landscapes, small communities and winding railway tracks that arouse the curiosity of both children and adults.

In addition to the impressive indoor environments, there is also a beautiful garden to stroll in - perfect for a break in the green. Here, children can play and discover more of the playful miniature world outside. When it's time for a coffee break, take a seat in the café, which has both indoor and outdoor seating.

How to get here:

Modelljärnvägens Hus is located in Alunda, about 3 miles north-east of Uppsala. It is easy to get here by car - follow road 288 from Uppsala towards Östhammar. Signs show the way from Alunda centre. Free parking is available adjacent to the museum.
