Roslagen Maritime Museum

The museum shows the maritime history of Roslagen from many perspectives in an exciting basic exhibition for all the senses.

I Älmsta vid Väddö kanal ligger Roslagens Sjöfartsmuseum – ett levande museum som berättar om Roslagens rika sjöfartshistoria.

Här finns en gammal skeppargård, museibutik, bibliotek och en brygga där båtfarare längs Väddö kanal kan lägga till. Museet är också ett uppskattat stopp för vandrare längs Roslagsleden.

Roslagens Sjöfartsminnesförening driver verksamheten och arrangerar traditionella evenemang som:

Postrodden
Beckbyxans dag
Ångbåtsturer med S/S Elmsta

In the large boathouse, you can see post-rowing boats, engines, lighthouses, knots and a unique collection of bottle ships.

In summer, the museum is open for guided tours, coffee breaks and sales of the association's yearbook Horse spikes - filled with stories about life at sea and the people along the coast
