The Association for the Past and Future of Finsta

The birthplace of St Birgitta, Finsta, is a historical destination with Birgitta's prayer cave and Skederid church with the Birgitta Stone and the exhibition about Finsta and Birgitta.

The association for Finsta's past and future works to keep the Finsta village alive and preserve its history, and organises May Day celebrations on Finstaåsen, book circles, hometown meetings, storytelling evenings, etc. Birgitta Day is celebrated on 7 October each year.
