Blidö is located off Furusund and has a ferry connection with the mainland via the neighbouring island of Yxlan.
All year round. In winter, many cross-country skiers start from here.

Blidö has been inhabited since at least the 17th century. The K-labelled sand wedge Helmi, the last authentic rowing boat, is located in Stämmarsund. Tove Jansson spent her childhood summers on the island, and Blidö became the model for Moominvalley. Blidö Church is located in the centre of the island and was built in 1859 on the remains of a 17th century chapel. The church is featured in the 1965 film "Tjorven och Skrållan" as the church where Malin and Peter get married.
Car: Car ferry from Furusund ferry terminal to Yxlan and on to the car ferry to Blidö.
Boat: Archipelago boats call at Bromskär on the east side of Blidö all year round.
