Edö - a quiet and beautiful island in the heart of the archipelago

Edö is a secluded, natural island in the Stochholm archipelago. Together with the neighbouring island of Edö ö, they form an area that was previously mainly used for grazing. Due to land uplift, the islands are slowly but surely growing together into a single larger island.

Where is Edö?
Between Södra Ljusterö and Äpplarö, in the beautiful middle archipelago north of Vaxholm.

Accessibility
The island is served by tour boats during the spring and summer seasons, and you can get there with Waxholmsbolaget from the mainland. Edö is primarily a destination for those seeking silence, nature experiences and simplicity.

What services are available on site?
There are no organised services on Edö. You come here to disconnect, not to connect. You need to bring everything you need for your stay - from food to camping equipment.

History of the programme
Edö and Edö ö have been used as grazing islands for a long time, which has characterised the landscape with open fields and old paths. The slow but ongoing land uplift means that in the near future the two islands will merge into a single, larger island - an example of how the archipelago landscape is constantly changing.
