During spring and summer, boat tours run between Furusund and Ängsö, giving you the opportunity to explore this thriving archipelago idyll on your own. The tours depart from Furusund's steamboat pier (below Hotell Furusund) and take you directly to Ängsö, in about 20 minutes. Furusund can be reached by bus or car in about 20 minutes from Norrtälje and 80 minutes from Stockholm. When travelling by bus, get off at the Furusund Hotellplan stop.
Ängsö offers seasonal flowers, fine bathing cliffs, good camping facilities and countless beautiful places to enjoy your packed lunch with wonderful views. With a little luck, the mighty sea eagle will appear above the treetops during your visit. Regardless of the season, Ängsö is exceptionally peaceful and its unique archipelago landscape, flora and fauna are in themselves a unique story about the interaction between man, animals and nature through the ages.
