We start the tour on the museum's stairs and tell you about the association, which is Stockholm County's oldest local history association. Inside the museum there are many folk artefacts from bygone times but also the unique Viking boat that is the best preserved from the core area of the Sveans, the boat is dated 1050s and was found in the village of Vik in 1898. Other interesting artefacts include Gustav III's sledge, furnishings from Karl's church and the perpetual motion machine.
After the museum tour, we will continue to the Bronze and Iron Age tombs and visit our historic buildings.
