Welcome to a Saturday where you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Japanese mending technique Sashiko. Mend and upgrade your favourite garment with inspiration from the instructors and fellow participants.

Sashiko is a Japanese mending technique that has become a huge trend worldwide, both as an art form with beautiful fabric patches and stitching methods, or as a creative, fun, and beautiful way to mend.

Those of you interested in participating, please bring a favourite item of clothing that needs mending, beautiful fabric scraps, a long needle, thread/yarn in various thicknesses, scissors, a pair of worn-out wool socks or similar, and we'll work together.

Please also bring any previous work/images you may have that could inspire the rest of us.

All interested parties are welcome, with or without prior knowledge.

Bring your own lunch, otherwise Länsmansgården's café is open. Lighter lunches are also available there.

The workshop will take place at Länsmansgården on June 6th from 10 am to 4 pm.
