The textile art collective Itchy Stitchy Group works playfully and exploratorily with embroidery and various textile techniques. In their creative process, they utilise each embroiderer's uniqueness and allow individual expressions to merge into shared textile works.
In the exhibition "Hitta hem" (Find Home), we are presenting a larger collaborative work where each member contributes their part of the story. A conversation arises in thread and colour – between forms, stories, and memories.
Finding home is about both place and community. Home is geographically located in Roslagen, but also in the creation itself – in the embroidery where we have met and found each other.
Itchy Stitchy Group was formed in autumn 2024 and has previously exhibited on two occasions at Norrtälje Art Gallery.
