25 June, Babben will inaugurate Kulleteatern's new outdoor stage at Gregersboda.
Babben Larsson stood at a crossroads as a young, serious theatre or entertainment and music. Today her career spans all of this and a bit more. Comedy has dominated for many years, but in parallel she has guested with big bands and sung with her own band, Second Edition.
They have worked together to great acclaim for over fifteen years in jazz clubs, at festivals and in their own concerts. Three years ago, the jazz-tinged album Vägen Hem was released to a positive reception. It consists largely of newly written, melodic music in Swedish, with most of the lyrics written by Babben herself.
The band Second Edition, who back her, are highly competent, with Peter Nilsbo on piano, Anders Jonsson on bass, Roine Johansson on drums, and Peter Fredman on saxophone.
