A warm welcome to the Wira Games 2025! An outdoor theatre for the whole family in beautiful Wira Bruk.
The dramatic story of Wira Bruk in the 1760s - with its 100 or so actors, live orchestra, fiddlers, horsemen and choir - is one of Sweden's largest annual musical spectacles!
Since the premiere in 1985, the Wira games have been played in different versions every summer outdoors, on Isac's meadow, located in the fabulously beautiful Wira Bruk in Österåker. This is just over an hour's drive from Stockholm or 25 km from Norrtälje.
Joakim Gräns Bouya, who has been the games' director since 2020, has made a brilliant adaptation and reinterpretation of the old story. The version is called "The Legend of Wira Mill" and is modelled on the original, which was originally written by Leif Nilsson based on an idea by Björn Strand.
It is an approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes full evening experience, performed by both professional actors and amateurs.
