TIPS

Fishing with a guide

Make the most of a day on the water with the help of the pros! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced big game angler, enlist the help of local guides to find the best fishing waters and maybe even hook that northern pike!

Fishing with a guide - an experience for everyone

Fishing with a guide is a great way to get the most out of a day on the water, whether you're a beginner or an experienced angler. A fishing guide knows the best fishing spots in Roslagen, the right equipment and which techniques work best depending on the season and weather conditions. This allows you to focus on the fishing itself and enjoy the experience, instead of worrying about where the fish are!

How does a guided fishing trip work?

When you book a guided fishing trip in Roslagen, you can choose to bring your own equipment - perfect if you already have your favourite rods and lures. If you are a beginner or want to try something new, however, it is often possible to borrow what is needed on site: rods, lures, life jackets and sometimes even warm clothes if necessary.

The guide will meet you at an agreed location, often in a marina, and then you will set out on the water in a stable and well-equipped boat. During the trip, you'll get tips on casting techniques, how best to handle the fish, and which baits tend to work.

Many guides use modern sonar technology to find the fish and give the best possible chance of a bite. A typical trip lasts 4-8 hours, but it is almost always possible to tailor both the length and the approach to your preferences.

What to expect?

Knowledge & experience - The guide shares his expertise and local knowledge.

Better chances of catching fish - With a guide, you're more likely to find the right places and get a bite.

High-quality equipment - Often premium fishing rods, lures and other equipment are included in the price.

Simplicity - You don't have to worry about planning and logistics, just turn up and fish!

Nature experience - In addition to fishing, you can enjoy stunning scenery on lakes, in the archipelago or along the coast.

Fishing with a guide is a fun and educational way to develop as an angler - or just enjoy a great day out on the water with no worries. Perfect for both beginners and experienced anglers, it's a great activity for the whole family or group of friends! Fish with the kids or friends and make memories together, while the guide takes care of all the details. Sit back and focus on what matters most: the fishing and the experience!
