In many places you can see cairns and other traces of old-time farming. Take a dip in the sea at Kattskär, walk among flowering meadows and enjoy your packed lunch. Hike among meadow flowers Two circular trails of 1.7 and 3.5 kilometres take you through a large grazed area with flower-rich pastures and hilly forest terrain. Depending on what you want to do, you can choose to start at different entrances. The pastures are full of meadow flowers. In spring, orchids sprout in the lime-rich soil. In May and June you can see the beautiful orchid Adam and Eve. From the southern car park in the nature reserve there is a path to Kattskär. There are nice rocks to sunbathe and swim from, and you can also barbecue at a landscaped barbecue area. You are not allowed to make fires in other places, but there are many nice picnic spots. At the information centre at Gräsö farm you can get tips on more excursion destinations and learn more about the history of Gräsö.

It is easy to get here by public transport, bicycle and on foot. Take the ferry across to Gräsö from Öregrund. There are three car parks in the reserve for those who drive: one at the farm itself and the information building, one in the northwest at Österbyvägen where the Kostigen and Skogsstigen paths start and one in the south where the path goes down to Kattskär. When you get off the ferry, turn right towards Äspskär to get to Gräsö farm or Kattskär. To get to the northwest car park, follow the road straight ahead instead and turn off towards Österbyn after a few hundred metres.
