Along the way there are nice rest and bathing places at, among others Lake Aspdal and Great Lake, and shelter with barbecue area near Barns and on the northern shore of Lake Aspdal. The Upplandsleden trail also crosses here, making it popular for both paddlers and walkers.
Common loading sites are Måviksbadet, Vällenbadet and Björnsundet, where parking is available.
Måviksbadet and Vällenbadet also have toilets and barbecue facilities. The trail is signposted from the eastern side of Vällen, but the sign can sometimes be difficult to see due to the height of the reeds.
The tour ends in Bysjön with the possibility of taking up at the bathing area near the bridge. For shorter tours, it is also possible to finish at the road bridge at Aspdalssjön.
For the adventurous, it is possible to continue paddling towards the sea via Hallstavik, but this route is more demanding and only possible at high tide.
Canoes (canoes) can be hired at Vällenbadet via Upplands Ekeby Community Centre.
