Viking Trail stage 4

Stage 4 of the Viking Trail is part of the St Olav Waterway and takes you through a landscape where history is close at hand. The walk starts in Häverödal and continues towards Sanda along paths, gravel roads and an old country road where moss-covered stones mark the trail.

Häverödal-Sanda (14.9 km)

The old road is said to date back to the Middle Ages, but is thought to be even older. During the walk you will pass open fields, wooded areas and old farms that reflect the cultural history of Roslagen. Look out for the beautiful milestones along the old road, which remind you of the time when the road was an important route through the area.
