The Klockstapeln Playground

The Klockstapeln playground in Öregrund is a popular meeting place for play and activity near the sea. It features play equipment for children of various ages, offering opportunities for climbing, balance games, and imaginative play in a pleasant environment.

Tallparksbadet

Tallparksbadet is located at Tallparken Nature Park and has a small sandy beach and lots of rocks. There are barbecue areas and picnic tables. Toilets and accessible toilets are available at the tennis court kiosk.

Gräsö farm

Near the ferry terminal on Gräsö you will find Gräsö gård nature reserve. Here, small fields are nestled between the rocks and cows graze along the shores.

Pumptrack Öregrund

In Öregrund, a new meeting place for cycling enjoyment has taken shape. Situated between the school and the rink, the new pump track is now open – an initiative from Öregrund Sports Club.

Pine Park

Stretch out on a sun-warmed bathing rock, walk around Hummelfjärden and watch the sun go down into the sea. Tallparken is a shoreline nature park with a rocky pine forest, a long stretch of coastline with cliffs, a small sandy beach and a rich system of paths and walkways. The marked Sjömilen walking trail leads you around the whole of Hummelfjärden. There are several barbecue areas and picnic tables in the area.

Our family-friendly campsite has around 400 pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents, most with electricity. We offer daily, monthly and seasonal pitches. In addition, there are five four-bed cabins for those who prefer more comfortable accommodation.

Boat & Ferry

The Gräsö ferry (Gräsöleden) is a free car ferry between Öregrund and Gräsö with an approximately 5-minute crossing. It operates year-round with frequent departures, especially during the summer. Öregrunds Guest Harbour

Öregrund guest harbour is a pleasant and well-located harbour in the centre of Öregrund, with proximity to restaurants, swimming spots, shops and the town's charming archipelago environment. The guest harbour is run by the association Westera’s Vänner and offers 66 guest berths with access to electricity, showers, toilets and chemical toilet disposal.

Here you live with the sea and city life right on your doorstep, with a perfect location for exploring Roslagen and the surrounding archipelago. The guest harbour is open seasonally from 1 May and is now closed for the season – we look forward to welcoming visitors again in the summer of 2026.

Recurring events

Parking

For visitors to Öregrund, the large tourist car park at Sven Perssonhallen is primarily recommended. Here you will find plenty of parking spaces, motorhome pitches, and public toilets. From the car park, it is only about a five-minute walk to the harbour and Tallparken.

There are also parking facilities in Västerhamn and at the harbour, but during the summer these are often quickly full. For a smooth visit, especially during peak season, the tourist car park is therefore the best choice.

Cycle on Gräsö

Cycling on Gräsö is one of the best ways to experience the island's natural and cultural landscapes. There are several cycling routes, from shorter circuits to longer day trips, that will take you through village environments, forests, coastal scenery, and beautiful viewpoints.

The popular intermediate route is approximately 20 kilometres and goes from the ferry terminal around the island's varied landscape, with both asphalt and forest roads. Along the way, you will pass sights, swimming spots, and genuine Gräsö environments. For those who want to discover more, there are also both shorter and longer cycling trails. Bicycles are available for hire on Gräsö, making it easy to set off on an exploration.

One of Sweden's best-preserved wooden towns

Öregrund is one of Sweden's best-preserved wooden towns and a unique historical gem in Roslagen. With its narrow alleys, colourful wooden houses, boathouses and small-town charm, Öregrund carries a long history stretching back to the Middle Ages. The town received its town privileges as early as the 15th century and grew into an important port and trading post along the Roslagen coast.
