Furusund has given its name to the fairway that has been used since the Middle Ages by seafarers travelling east. The island is visible from both north and south, and large cruise ships, Finnish ferries and pleasure boats pass through the narrow strait. The 19th century's great bathing and spa resort, the paradise of writers and society and today's boating, swimming and good food. Take the Seven Streams Road or the Archipelago Boat to Furusund.
