Waxholmsbolaget - scheduled boat services
Waxholmsbolaget offers year-round services to several destinations in the Roslagen archipelago. Their ships, such as the 298-passenger M/S Roslagen, operate routes from Norrtälje, Furusund and Vaxholm to islands such as Gräddö, Lidö and Fejan. Timetables are updated four times a year, and some routes only run during specific periods, so it is important to check current timetables before travelling.

Blidösundsbolaget - steamer with history
Experience the archipelago in a historical way with Blidösundsbolaget's steamboat tours. Their pride and joy, S/S Blidösund from 1911, offers both day trips and evening cruises with or without musical entertainment. During the summer, the boat leaves Skeppsbron in Stockholm for Norrtälje every Friday and returns on Sundays, stopping at several of the archipelago's most beautiful islands.

Car ferries between the islands
If you want to take your car out into the archipelago, there are several car ferries that connect the islands of Roslagen with the mainland. The Swedish Transport Administration operates ferry services between Furusund and Yxlan, for example, as well as between Yxlan and Blidö and Öregrund and Gräsö. These ferries are free of charge and run several times a day, making it easy to explore the islands by car.

Pass boats Norra Roslagen
Passport boat Gräsö - Rävsten The boat runs according to a timetable, different times and days depending on the season. The boat takes 8-10 people and can also transport guests arriving in wheelchairs.

Pass boat Gräsö - Örskär Services run on weekends during spring/early summer and autumn. During high summer the tours run 6 days a week. The tour has a limited number of seats, larger groups are recommended to contact us well in advance.
Only boat trips can be booked subject to availability at least 2 days before departure. Lunch travellers have priority.

Baltic Sea traffic from Kapellskär
From Kapellskär, located about 90 km north-east of Stockholm, there are ferries to Turku and Naantali in Finland as well as Estonia and Åland with Finnlines. These crossings offer both passenger and freight services, making it possible to bring your car along for the journey. On board, you can enjoy amenities such as restaurants, shops and cabins for a comfortable journey across the Baltic Sea.

Åland boat from Grisslehamn
Eckerölinjen operates the route between Grisslehamn and Eckerö in Åland with several daily departures. The journey takes around two hours and there are restaurants, shopping and entertainment on board. This is a great option for a day trip or a longer stay in Åland, where you can experience both Swedish and Finnish culture.
